Financial Information
Know Breast Cancer is registered as a 501(c) 3 tax deductible corporation under IRS regulations as National Breast Cancer Prevention Project/Know Breast Cancer.
Organization Goals and Budget: Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2010
During FY 2010, Know Breast Cancer will launch and popularize our 7 Easy Ways educational initiative through: our website, our blog, www.thetruthaboutbreastcancer.com, our print and internet-based articles, radio and TV interviews and at selected regional, national and international business and health conferences.
Our Internet Educational Project and our National Public Radio Underwriting Project, aimed at educating the grassroots and major opinion leaders, should rapidly popularize our 7 Easy Ways, thus teaching women important ways to personally lower their risk of ever developing breast cancer. The NPR underwriting project will total at least $100,000. As additional financial support is received, we will increase our underwriting budget. Hence, a dollar for Know Breast Cancer will also turn into a dollar for NPR.
Know Breast Cancer will also increase funding appeals to individuals, prevention- focused businesses and foundations as we move from a volunteer- based effort to a small core staff.

Programs: $262,000 (includes $100,000 NPR Underwriting Project)
Management and General: $15,000
Development: $20,000
Total: $297,000
