National Know Breast Cancer
12-Month Campaign

The National Breast Cancer Prevention Project, with the support of other state and national pro-prevention organizations, is organizing a 12-month National Know Breast Cancer Campaign, beginning in 2009. The purpose of this public relations campaign is to:

Help change the current breast cancer conversation from:

finding the cure and winning the war to finding the causes...or Stopping Breast Cancer Before It Starts

The 12-month Campaign will also promote specific ideas such as:

  • 90% of breast cancer is preventable
  • Community-based breast cancer projects
  • Redirecting money to focus on pharmaceutical and environmental causes of breast cancer

National Know Breast Cancer Campaign:
We can learn how to stop cancer before it starts.
